Clothes Sorter for Homeless programme
We need willing, helpful people to assist with sorting our donated clothes for the homeless. This is an ongoing task and we need more hands. Please come and help us.
Avalon is a unique Centre that aims to `meet unmet needs`. This encompasses a range of different activities ranging from helping the bushfire victims to assisting the homeless. We are donated clothing, bedding, shoes that we distribute weekly to the homeless, disadvantaged and Asylum Seekers.
We welcome donations to keep up the demand, but we need help to sort through the donations, then organise and label them. If you have a couple of hours to spare please consider coming to help us in East Malvern.
We have Thursdays and every second Sunday and Wednesday available for clothes sorters. Even if you can only commit to a few hours, you will be very welcome.
