Mentoring - Youth

Provide career advice and act as a positive role model for Beacon Foundation's MyRoad online mentoring program as you minimise the risk of poor outcomes and unemployment as teenagers move from school to the next phase of life.
  • Provide mentoring in small groups
  • Share your career story
  • Build trusting relationships
  • Offer advice and support on post-school pathways
  • Guide students through structured modules during a one-off two-hour online mentoring session.
You will ideally be employed and willing to share your career story / life journey with a small group of young people aged 15 to 19, usually in a secondary school setting. Excellent verbal communication skills are a must, along with your strong people skills and ease at which you work across cultures and various environments. Full training and technological support will be provided by Beacon Foundation. You must have a computer with webcam and microphone and be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before you start mentoring.
