PTSD in Emergency Workers

$ 25.00

Every six weeks in Australia, another first responder takes their own life.

Your gift of $25 will help help fund research and programs into mental health issues caused by stresses like the ones our emergency workers face daily.

Ross (pictured) is a highly dedicated former firefighter with 21 years service under his belt who is living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Ross knows all too well the stresses of being a first responder. After dealing with 40 deaths - some of the most awful kind - it became too much. “I looked okay on the outside,” he says. “But inside I was a mess.”

Of the 80,000 emergency service workers in Australia it is estimated that 1 in 10 of them suffer from PTSD.
