Conservation Volunteering - Sydney and wider region
Volunteer with us in Sydney, and you can help support threatened Wildlife and habitat in Sydney Harbour National Park at Bradleys Head, support iconic Centennial Parklands, or carry out vital bush rehabilitation at historical Kamany Botany Bay National Park.
The day typically runs from around 9:00am to 4:00pm with morning, afternoon and lunch breaks, however we can tailor an itinerary to suit your individual needs e.g. Develop a half-day activity.
We run these throughout the year and numbers can vary from 10 up to large group sizes. Please note: both the locations mentioned below have a maximum size of 30. If you have group larger than 30, we can discuss alternative locations with you (please ensure you let us know your group size on your application).
Please be advised that due to the nature of this volunteering, EVERY volunteer team member will be required to complete their "Personal Details" online. Once you have confirmed your booking, you will be asked to complete this detail on the CVA website.”

About our locations - Sydney
Sydney Harbour National Park
Bradleys Head is home to beautiful Sydney sandstone woodland and it commands spectacular views of beautiful Sydney Harbour. The National Park also contains some of the best examples of coastal vegetation communities which were once all around the harbour and are home to several endangered species including the Red-crowned Toadlet.
The endangered Red-crowned Toadlet is a species of frog that is only found within the Sydney region. It is threatened by activities such as urbanisation, habitat loss, pollution and the invasion of native habitat by exotic weeds.
This project focuses on hands-on bush re-generation at Bradleys Head, where we will be improving the toadlets native Sydney sandstone woodland habitat by removing invasive exotic weeds. Opportunities for whale watching and an afternoon bushwalk are also available in season.
Botany Bay National Park
Botany Bay National Park lies adjacent to the suburb of Kurnell and the southern entrance to an Australian icon - Botany Bay. It is the place of Captain Cooks landing in 1770 and is widely regarded as the birthplace of
modern Australia.
Conservation Volunteers has worked with National Parks for a number of years to help
deliver a range of vital bush regeneration activities, notably the Burrawang Dune Habitat Restoration Project and the restoration of threatened vegetation communities such as bangalay sand forest.
Volunteers will contribute to these important projects with valuable bush regeneration activities. Opportunities for whale watching and an afternoon bushwalk are also available in season.
