For a person with MND, every day a little bit of their strength disappears from their once healthy bodies. One day their legs may be a little weak, and a couple of months later they can no longer walk. A wheelchair can be their lifeline to the outside world. It may be the difference between being stuck at home and being able to go to the shops, or meet a friend for coffee.
