Koalas are one of Australia’s most famous faces and are only found on our island continent. Koalas were hunted almost to extinction in the early 20th Century for fur, and populations never fully recovered.
Today, habitat loss and fragmentation, and the impacts of living near humans, such as dog attacks and traffic accidents, threaten our national icon. The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife is working closely with the Redlands City Council in QLD and the NSW Wingecarribee Shire
Council to help improve habitat and monitoring of these Koalas.
With your gift, we will continue funding projects like these to ensure a brighter future for Koalas in Australia.
