Social Media Advisor - Covid-19 Emergency Response
Seeking an awesome social media advisor to help us fundraise for our international Covid-19 response to deliver everything from 3D printed ventilators and PPE to emergency food parcels for vulnerable families around the world.
This project will give you an opportunity to take action to reduce the impact that Covid-19 has on the most vulnerable members of our global community.
Specifically we need you to:
1. Develop a social media strategy for our Covid-19 response to maximise online donations.
2. Advise on optimal mechanics of posts (facebook, insta, linked in, twitter) to encourage donations.
Just Peoples is a charity which connects Australians to grassroots projects that address poverty. We are currently responding to the Covid-19 crisis in our communities. Though our communities are yet to be affected by Covid-19 itself the preparations have begun and most of the areas where we work across Africa, Asia and Central America are already in, or are preparing for, lockdown. This brings with it many challenges with regards to food security and loss of income for people that are living day-to-day. The other key challenge is the pending pressure on already unreliable hospital systems. Combined with dense populations and a lack of government support systems, we are concerned.
The good news is that our Just Peoples project leaders are an entrepreneurial and agile bunch of incredible humans! Many of them are pivoting from running projects which improve lives into delivering front-line emergency responses to save lives. With their deep local knowledge and relationships in their communities they are well positioned to take on this new challenge. We are currently fundraising to support their solutions to the crisis which range from 3D printing of ventilators and face shields for emergency medical workers to emergency food parcels and hand-wash stations for communities without running water.
