SHH is comprised of mostly volunteer staff who donate their time to support people with SCI and their families. From our office in Moorooka, we offer several paid and free services, from referral and information to NDIS supports.
SHH receives minimal income, and we don't receive any government funding for our organisation. As such, we're looking for a marketing support volunteer.
If you’re marketing savvy, have some experience in the IT sector and are great at getting things organised, we'd love to hear from you.
Our goal is to develop client profiles and get the most out of our fundraising events and seminars.
You'll brainstorm with the SHH team to identify ways to achieve our goals and spot current opportunities using your fundraising and marketing experience. You would need to run fundraising events for developing SHH’s marketing strategies.
It is a big job, but it's for a great cause, so if you're looking for more experience in marketing and the community sector, and have skills in IT, this is the position for you!
We welcome experienced individuals.
This will be an ongoing position; when the volunteer is available, they will donate time toward organising fundraising events for SHH. We would expect the volunteer be in touch at least once a week for updates, just a phone call or email, and be available for a debrief in person minimum once a month for 1-2 hours.
We expect the volunteer to dedicate at least 3-4 hours a week finding marketing opportunities or posting new updates on Facebook or twitter for us from office in Moorooka.
SHH will provide volunteers with an understanding of spinal injury, the work we do, and the fundraisers we aim to hold, but no formal training is provided
Mileage reimbursement - we will pay volunteers for some transport costs relating to their organising duties
National Police Check
Working with people with disability or in similar fundraising roles VERY DESIRABLE.
