Rabbit Runaway Orphanage offers a unique experience for employees to experience the workings of a private animal rescue. Learn how the rescue started, its joys and challenges and the work it does in the community.

The Experience:
We can offer this experience Monday and Friday from 10 am to 1 pm for a team of 4 to 8 employees.

• 10 am: Meet at the Orphanage over morning tea for a talk and discussion with the operators, Judi & Bryce Inglis. How they started, and the joys and challenges of operating a private rescue run entirely by volunteers. Meet the health-challenged animals and hear about how they came into their care and the healthy animals they rehome.


• 11.00 am: Your team will undertake a brief safety induction on rabbits before being immersed in some activities normally undertaken by volunteers, such as assisting with cleaning enclosures, gardening or other
  activities that take up the day-to-day activities of the rescue.


• 12.30 pm: To finish the morning the team will have one-on-one time with the rabbits to pat and take photos to remember their experience.

The experience is $600 (+GST). These funds go towards supporting your experience as well as the vet care for the animals to prepare them for rehoming.
